What is comQuest?
comQuest is an innovative web-based reporting application that helps organisations provide auditable reports that show how they meet their social responsibilities.
Unlike spreadsheets, disparate documents and other sustainability reporting products, comQuest provides a flexible framework that automates the collection, approval and reporting process that can be built and managed by non-technical staff in a matter of hours.
comQuest consist of:
- A simple, yet effective interface that allows administrators to build a set of questions that can be grouped into the different reporting categories such as the Environment and Human Resources. comQuest recognises that not everyone will answer every question, so questions can be targeted at specific users. Administrators then specify the type and format required by the answer, which ranges from simple text to numeric grids and attachments
- Web-based delivery that targets questions at the right people. It can provide help, sample answers, comparisons to previous answers to support those submitting information. Each question has a timescale of when it must be answered which allows the system to ‘chase up’ people before the deadline set, without administrator intervention
- A status monitor that shows the completeness of submissions i.e. which questions have been answered by which people and those questions still outstanding.
- An approval process whereby answers can be ‘locked’ to prevent any further changes. The system provides a full audit trail of what was reported, by whom and when.
- Standard reports that work on data submitted to provide a formatted version of submissions that can be published.
- A powerful analysis system that can provide consolidated dashboards, scorecards and a range of ad-hoc analyses.
In addition to the above, comQuest comes with a set of questions as defined by the Global Reporting Initiative for Sustainability Reporting and that have been adopted by many of the world’s leading organisations.
