The Satori BI Suite is a comprehensive set of tools designed around role‐appropriate access to information and functionality. Proudly Australian developed and supported with extensive implementation expertise, Satori makes ‘BI for the masses’ an affordable reality. Leveraging existing Microsoft technologies including SQL Server, Analysis Server and SharePoint, Satori BI provides reliable forward development and low total cost of ownership. The proven yet modern architecture provides a scalable solution that can operate efficiently on a stand alone PC through to a full server farm. This provides the ability to start small and continue with the same solution as demand for information increases, minimising the risk of large expenditures without proven results.
 
The Satori BI Suite consists of five components:

Builder

Designed for advanced users wanting to perform freeform analysis and design reports for Browser and Dashboard users, this is a full featured OLAP and relational analysis and reporting facility.

Browser

Provides simplified access to reports and analytics created using the Builder facility.

Dashboard

Provides a snap shot of relevant performance details integrated in a web portal using Microsoft SharePoint.

Excel Add‐in

Provides the power and flexibility of Satori BI Builder while retaining the familiarity and ease of use of Microsoft Excel.

Server

Provides the security and efficiency of a common service layer to the other components. For example, a single report created using BI Builder can then be accessed by Browser users, included in an Excel workbook, or used as the trigger for Dashboard alerts or dials. The Server administrator can control data access for all of these scenarios from a single point, so that each user sees only the data they have permission to. In addition to central control over the data, these integrated components provide the ultimate flexibility in role‐appropriate access. ‘Power users’ create reports using the full Builder functionality and can expose as much or as little complexity to the information consumers require, in the form of drill paths, dimension selectors, time series, and calculated measures. The result of these integrated design principles is a comprehensive toolset that truly realises the ’BI for the masses’ ideal. The power of information insight for all, provided with appropriate levels of functionality, ease‐of‐use, and low IT overhead.
